Domina Tu Goliat

The story of David and Goliath is not about two individuals; it’s about you alone, slaying the beast within by elevating your consciousness, entwined with the mind (Goliath) at the brow. By freeing ourselves from societal conditioning, religion, preconceptions, etc. (Saul), we can unleash the inner child (David) so that the third eye becomes the seat of the soul through meditation/prayer, and our consciousness identifies with our spiritual nature, rendering the inner beast (Goliath) slain forever.

David’s victory over Goliath illustrates the mastery of the spiritual over the material. Goliath relied on his armor, representing the protective power of matter and material conditions. David (spiritual strength) had no armor or material protection. His power was earned through trust in divine intelligence, through which David saw the weak point in Goliath’s armor. Straight to this weak spot, with the sling of his concentrated will, he sent a thought that shattered the giant’s forehead. This shows how easy it is to overcome any seemingly strong personal and material condition when the mind of the Spirit is set in motion.

David was self-assured because he had killed the lion that attacked his sheep. This lion symbolizes the beast in man; when overcome or, rather, transmuted into a finer energy, it becomes a powerful force of the soul.

Darkness aims to fill us with fear, but God has not given you a “spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7). On this day, identify all things that intimidate you and begin taking small, courageous steps to confront the resistance of evil in your life and surroundings. God wants to use you to liberate many from their captivity!
